July Historical Tidbits -
From
the July 10, 1880 New Era:
“St. Paris did not celebrate the fourth but most of her people did. Some
accompanied the Band to Plain City, some went to see the fire works at Urbana
and a few took the advice of the New Era and went to Sabbath School. At
Plain City one of our bloods got in the cooler, while two others took leg bail.
These were the only accidents reported. It was a dull fourth.”
