High-Post, Tester Bed This tester bed was donated to the Champaign County Historical Museum in memory of Betty Jane Lewis Taylor (BJ) (1929-2005) This bed once was the property of Sarah Kenton McCord, daughter of the famous frontiersman, Simon Kenton and his first wife, Martha Dowden Kenton. Sarah, aka Sally, was born 1795 in Old Washington, Kentucky, and at age five immigrated with her family to Ohio.
