A significant component of the Champaign County Historical Museum’s collection is photographs that document the people, places and events of Champaign County.
An important source of these photos has been current and former county residents and their relatives.
The Board of Trustees of the Champaign County Historical Society is therefore asking those who have such photos consider making them available to the Champaign County Historical Museum via one of the following means:
1) Donate the actual original picture.
2) Bring the original to the museum where we can scan it and return it to you.
3) Scan the original yourself and attach it to an e-mail to our Museum Curator at email@example.com
In all cases, please provide a brief description of the photo, names of individuals in the photo, approximate date of photo, and any further details you have about the photo.
Our staff relies on the help of valued volunteers, and we invite you to JOIN US!
Our volunteers staff the museum during our regular hours and during special events throughout the week.
If you would like to volunteer to help us, we will welcome your generosity. If you are interested in donating your time as a volunteer, please contact the curator at 937-653-6721, or by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
To submit any artifact to be considered for donation to the Champaign Co Historical Society, we request that you complete and return the Collection Application and return it along with photos of the object to the museum by mail or in person to CCHS, 809 E. Lawn Ave., Urbana, OH 43078, or via email at email@example.com for review by our collections and exhibits committee.
